Season 1 Episode 4

I know that I might have said something in the past post about sharing a news story on William Petersen. I’m not sharing it this post as I haven’t had much of a chance to do things over the past week. Note that there will be a post of this blog on a Friday in November instead of the usual Sunday. That is because I use what I call cheats to update certain blogs of mine and this will apply on a Sunday soon. I’m planning to change it sometime next month during the month.

This cheat currently applies to my TV blog which is the oldest of all of my blogs, the one that started it all, so to say. It will be moving to my blog on Madam Secretary. The cheat means that a blog must be updated on that particular date and if it conflicts with what it currently applies to (meaning that, in this instance, a Saturday is when I post my TV blog and I want to update a blog that’s not that on a Saturday instead, which will happen this coming month) then I have to change where the cheat applies so people know it is being used and it won’t bug me. Anyways, enjoy my TV blog.

The first part has a new dead body, I think, or a reminder of a previous case that I remember seeing advertised, but it was before I watched the show. A woman was killed by jealous bridesmaids, spoiling the plot of this old episode that I haven’t seen yet. Gil talks to someone about a redacted report and he doesn’t reveal whether or not that was his real signature.

Gil wants to do a case that doesn’t relate to David so he is taken to the current one at hand. A luau crowd trampled the dead person. There are people from Hawaii that wound up in Vegas. Will there be a CSI: Hawaii? Probably not since there is currently an NCIS: Hawai’i. It could be called something else.

The second part has Gil and Sara talking for a moment. We then return to Hugo. He is weird. You don’t have to make a medical examiner weird. They didn’t in NCIS: New Orleans. Hugo thinks that a person was killed by blunt force trauma. Many of the people interviewed wonder what is going on as a person isn’t coming back. We then get to more of Maxine and her son. I don’t understand what is going on with that.

There is a sit down going on with a caseworker (what is her name?) and Sara. She talks about the David case and more of what Gil said about her. She doesn’t want this coming to light at trial, even if a good thing was mentioned at the end. A suspect was pulled out of the ground as well.

The third part has a pool person from before asking his friend Kai to help. Kai said that JJ, the dead person, raped his girlfriend and she overdosed after getting fired. This woman is Rachel. I do sadly believe that this sort of thing might happen where the person who is raped is further punished. Allie is upset over what all had happened to Rachel, but is told that she should remember that JJ is the victim now.

The internal review lady shows up again and seems to threaten Maxine or at least wants Maxine to still have a job in control of the lab after the case involving David is over. Maybe Maxine shouldn’t have hired first Sara then Gil. Maxine is convinced that they are unrelated to any crime that David might have done. It seems that Gil does not even remember her name. Allie wonders if JJ might have raped others. But what she finds out is that Rachel was not raped by JJ since the results are a negative match to him. She then looks at JJ’s body and finds part of what killed him.

The fourth part has the team at the hotel and there are a lot of potential weapons throughout the whole place that they have warrants for. Both Sara and Gil do their separate interviews with whatshername, which is what I’m going to call her until I remember her actual name. Gil mentions that she (not Sara) could be naïve in a way. There are lots of things that are going on since a huge tug of war is going on. We then get to more of what Maxine is doing. Her son is not facing charges. She wants to know what he was breaking up the fight and he was arrested first.

The weapon that killed JJ was a tiger shark (do do do do do do) tooth. Allie might have messed up some with the case by investigating it on her own, but she can swear that a person was there and they get a warrant as a result.

The fifth part has Allie thinking that someone’s necklace could have one of the teeth that was used to kill JJ. They bring in a woman named Cynthia who decided to take matters into her own hands. She used Clyde to help her. She won’t admit it. She does learn that JJ wasn’t Rachel’s rapist. Did they say who was? Allie learns that it was JJ’s father who raped Rachel and she reveals that to him and his wife. Gil thinks that they have to prove something they know regarding David’s case, but I can’t tell too much. I am tired after a very long sleep and didn’t get my nap in today.

On the next CSI: Vegas (if there is a promo), the game is afoot as they have to figure out more relating to a certain person and David. What is going on? I guess we’ll find out, possibly, at least at some point. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Season 1 Episode 3

Typically once every year, I boycott the place that airs the first Christmas commercial of the year until the year is over. This means I don’t do any Christmas shopping or any other business at this place with them at all until the end of the boycott. It was often Kmart that did this, including one in September! But I don’t rely on that as I’d have to go a long ways to visit one anyways. It was Best Buy one year. Last year, I got a bit confused about whether or not Prime Day counted. I decided that it didn’t and gave the boycott to some obscure place instead. Since they later did a Prime Day in June this year, I know that wasn’t a Christmas commercial. This year, it is Amazon for sure that could get a boycott.

This leaves me to wonder: could I even boycott Amazon? Where is a better place to do all of your Christmas shopping? Well, it’s not a place, but is likely to have if not what you want for someone, then any of your backups instead. You can’t get as much out of the other brick and mortar stores. Or can you? I may try not to use Amazon this year for Christmas shopping. This way, I won’t have to rely on the post office. I did my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving last year and I still didn’t get one of my gifts for someone until after Christmas.

I could go into the unfortunate politicization of the Post Office, but if you want to know more of my political thoughts, they appear in three different blogs of mine. While it has been a while since I’ve talked about it in my Madam Secretary blog, I am still giving you the link to it so you can read the cast updates that I have in it or whatever else I might include in it over time. Besides, I might as well share all of the links to my other blogs so you’ll know about them if you didn’t already.

The first part has a creepy night scene since only CSI: Miami can often take place during the day. To be far, this shift is a night shift. That could be the name of a good show that I haven’t seen ever and probably never will. The newbies investigate it in some way. Gil is uncertain upon returning to work. Maxine meets some of the people who are working on David’s case. We then go back to the dog. See, NCIS? This is how you do a dog case good. There might be some issues with where certain evidence winds up relating to David’s case.

We see a Sandra on the news, but I forget her relation to the case. Hugo examines the body in the case as we see more of what’s going on. Cade is saying that Sanda’s death is getting solved quickly while also saying that the crime lab is second to none. I think that Cade was one of the people investigating David’s case.

The second part has people going to a gaming place. Maxine thinks that her son was going to maybe do this, but isn’t doing well in school, even though it is an unrelated pottery class. They think that sexism was probably the motive behind her death. They talk to Death Von Body Count and he says that he grabbed Sandra’s badge and tore it, but otherwise didn’t see her again after this altercation. She seemed to have benefitted from a bug in the game until it was patched.

Sara and Gil see a brick that could be a murder weapon. They talk to the woman who owns the house and she blames pregnancy brain on some of her absentmindedness. Gil thinks that criminals make lots of mistakes. At a fountain, Josh and Allie each do different things in the case. I have the feeling that they are probably going to have sex at some point or could at least be a couple, but I don’t remember couples or even sex happening that much between the main characters on the shows in the franchise. This could be the show that changes it.

Sara talks to the two of them later with Josh thinking that David could be guilty to be a star. There is footage found of a person who is later talking on stage. It turns out that he’s doing a test run, although some people are there. His name is Ben and he is arrested. There are no marks on his hands so they are convinced that he was not working alone. They send him away!

The third part has Maxine working instead of worrying about her son? Gil says that neither the rock nor the smudge has helped them thus far. But there was makeup of some sort that helps others. Maxine isn’t much convinced about the animal cruelty case being a lead on David’s. Allie and Josh do more investigating at the fountain area with him finding a squirrel. A man is watching them and he runs with them giving case. A cop shows up. This Mr. Benson, once caught, says that he saw the whole thing happen. He tried to help Sandra, but instead witnessed the murder. He is upset that he didn’t stop the crime from happening.

Convinced of Mr. Benson’s innocence for now, Josh and Allie continue on their case. Maxine talks to Sara and Gil about their case. Josh thinks that the killer has blue eyes and was intentionally caught on tape to look like Ben Miller so that he would be framed instead. They think that a 3D printed face mask was involved. Um, the writers of this show remember how hated CSI: Cyber was, right? This is an element of that show that was too unlike the other shows which is one of the many reasons why it wound up failing. They shouldn’t include that or other elements towards the end of the main show where it clearly wound up out of good ideas.

The fourth part has Josh and Allie doing a recreation of the crime scene and they figure out where they should be looking on Sandra’s dead body. Maxine and Josh then watch more videos while they eat pizza and try to solve the case at hand. There are ways to look at a person’s walk and they find a match in Ron.

8,000 criminals could get out of jail if David is convicted. Would we see any of the old criminals from the series? I hope not since that would mean he’d be convicted. But this could play more into the plot of this once planned anniversary series. Maxine then looks through the trash for potential DNA in a case. It is the second in command, Ron King, who seems to be the main suspect. Maxine talks to him, but he knows better than to do what she asks. A digger bee was found and it normally doesn’t sting, but did because of a ground nest being disturbed. Could this be a good lead?

The fifth part has people looking at a nest with the bees with a shovel. It was burned. Ben is finally brought into interrogation. The mask could not be burned so it was buried where the digger bees where. He had reactions to it. He was upset that Kelly was getting a game before him. Maxine promises him press, but you should never give most criminals free press as that’s what they want. Gil is concerned that he has a brain issue that might be permanent. Maxine learns that they are cut off from the David case at hand with the evidence moved.

On the next CSI: Vegas, wait, was there not a promo? My news cut it off and I didn’t have much of a chance to turn to the other CBS channel that I have to see if they aired a promo after all. I might include a mention of future promos elsewhere, but I won’t unless it is in my Survivor blog on today’s episode.

Speaking of that, this blog is on Wednesday instead of my Survivor blog this time since there is a family visit that is suddenly upon me that I wasn’t sure might be happening until this very day. There is less to put in this blog so with it ready, it was easier for me to make it today’s post instead of Survivor’s blog.

I won’t know without this getting more episodes or seasons ordered and it remaining on Wednesdays just how much it could affect the Survivor blog as this could be the primary one during the winter hiatus of Survivor with that one getting a break of sorts outside of posts on older season’s episodes. I’ll tell that blog too, maybe even in the next post you’ll see of this. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Season 1 Episode 2

Something that I had wondered in my CSI: Cyber blog was about the theme song they might use for this show. I was going through a bunch of songs that The Who did. I had figured that it would be another one of theirs that was used. I was not expecting them to reuse a theme song they had already done in a different way. I wished that they had used something different. I would have liked The Good’s Gone as a theme song. But maybe we’ll have to wait until potential other shows in the franchise start in order for us to see it or another fitting song.

In that blog, I had gone through a whole lot of songs that The Who did even if they might not have been used for a theme song or not. Some may not have fit. I still have a list of songs that might work that I had not used in that blog that I don’t have the links to yet, but might in the future. For now, here are the last two ones that I was going to put in that blog that will be put in this one instead.

Speaking of blogs that I have, the one that I used on Elementary was important in many different ways. I had two people in that cast update in my CSI: Cyber blog at first. That’s why the font is still different for some of their projects. I’m hoping that it might change in the future. But a lot of projects wind up in development hell as they have a name, at least one person attached to it, and presumably a writer.

Elementary blog- http://adamdeckerelementarytvshow.blogspot.com/

There is one last thing that I will talk about before I get to the show. I’m wondering what they are doing with David’s character in this show. He might not have that big a role in this show that I thought that he would. But he’s certain to play a pivotal part. I just hope that they don’t ruin his character by turning him into a villain or at least some person that might not be as good as he once was. Sadly, I don’t even remember what he was like that much. But I want him to be good.

The first part begins with a woman begging and she is shot after other injuries. This does not happen enough with male victims on TV. Of course, I believe that in reality, women are more likely to be victims of crimes.

Sara and Gil think about the secret lab that David has. She is convinced that he would not fake evidence. But it seems like all of this was signed up. He is sent to jail now as a result.

The rest of the team, the newbies, if you will, show up to the crime scene from earlier. The victim was to be married. It was bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. My cousin intentionally did that so the photos would be done first. I wonder what other one liners before the theme song we’ll have to get used to. Will anyone be putting on sunglasses? Maybe they should throw them. You know, throw shade.

The second part has more being done at that crime scene. Gil then shows up at the crime scene and tells the officer that the people are looking at a microtome. That’s a word according to my laptop. They don’t always think certain things are words. We then get to the people at the wedding being interrogated by the police. Gil and Sara talk to Maxie about the case and fate of David. Sara doesn’t trust Ivy, one of the people on the crime scene, to do her part well.

Gil can’t do much since Sara has the badge and he is not one again yet. They go through the crime scene which showed the couple about to have sex (since in the process of it would not be allowed on network TV) and that’s when they were killed. Josh, one of the investigators, talks to Maxie about the case. Sara doesn’t think that David could have broken a thousand laws right in front of them. Gil doesn’t think that the evidence points back to him. David is out for a moment and appears to have family of some sort that we haven’t seen before.

The third part has possible couple, Allie and Josh, infiltrate a swingers club. They reveal that they are cops. They threaten to come back with news crews if they do not get what they want out of the investigation. They look into more of this and learn that the walls have eyes of some sort. I wasn’t looking at the TV at that moment and am watching this live. I also had to deal with resetting this laptop at one point.

Emma is the wife of David. Jim treats his former teammate coldly since he wound up shot over it. Gil is more convinced of evidence and less of witness testimony because it can often fail. But how do they disprove these allegations?

The fourth part has the potential of blackmail being brought up. Cleveland Brown? Is that what they mean by black male? David was an expert witness for a while. He does think that a theory could explain why this person knows him so well. The other team is dealing with their case during this time. I have the feeling this is what the show might be about. Gil doesn’t take sides and Sara thinks that he is being too hard on their former teammate. He thinks that she’s okay with him since she put the gloves where he likes them.

“People lie. Evidence doesn’t.” That’s what is said when I think that the guy from the swingers club is brought in as a suspect. But he can’t grip after suffering from some neurological damage. This proves that he couldn’t be the killer since he can’t grab a gun. David thinks that he’s all alone since Gil isn’t convinced by the evidence.

He notices that a guard dog went missing from the neighbor’s house. This happened the week before this stuff was happening. I forget if Gil was like this on the show when it was originally on before he left. Well, I should say that I don’t know. I was too young for the original show when it first aired. I joined it after Gil had left.

The fifth part had Gil and Sara with a dead dog since they found it. They have to also work with Hugo and Maxine with their dead couple. They think that the woman from the swingers club is the killer due to the shoe size. I forget what “if the shoe fits” means. I largely only know that phrase exists due to Toy Story 2.

They think that the deaths were due to her sending someone a message. She is guilty, I’m pretty sure. We then get to the dog death that bit the attacker. The person who killed the dog got into a garage seems to have stolen things to frame David. Maxine wants to convince Gil to come back to CSI. She wants to investigate the case, but may not be convinced as much as they are that David is innocent or, at least, that these crimes are related.

On the next CSI: Vegas, Gil has first day jitters, they have to not look like there is a conflict of interest or something like that, and other things that I missed. I can’t wait to see the next episode and wonder what the crime of the week will be while they deal with the recurring part of the David case. I’m pretty sure based off of this episode that that is what’s going to happen on the show now for the rest of these episodes in the ten part series that I’ll explain more about later in future posts. Hopefully there won’t be any issues with me seeing the next episode as it is possible that there will be a family visit that will interfere. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Season 1 Episode 1

I’m a bit annoyed by how the blog has showed up originally and might change it if I can. I don’t know yet if I will. I find more reason after another to hate the new blogger and do want to do a YouTube video about it while putting that video in one of my blogs as well. You’ll see as I share all of the other blogs what they are like. I’m wanting the background and format to be most similar to the CSI: Cyber blog as would any other potential blogs on shows in the franchise. You already have the link to that.

Of course, it is worth noting that this blog isn’t something that I might be good at as I suck at writing recaps on mystery shows. I tend to miss names which is the biggest of all the problems, especially since one of them will be the killer or criminal.

Anyways, I have already stated some about my other blogs and how they affect this one. I will often be giving my Survivor blog the priority and given it posts on the date that it airs before putting this blog on Sundays. We’ll see if that works or not. Here’s a link to my Survivor blog. There will be some posts on Wednesdays in the future.

Survivor blog- https://adamdeckersurvivor.blogspot.com

The first part has a bird on a camera. The bird is named Elvis. Perhaps the bird means that we are supposed to tweet about this. A man comes to kill this other person in his place, but gets hurt himself instead. We then see a woman arrive at a crime scene. Jim is the person that was attacked and has the dead body there. The person there didn’t know who Jim was and with me away from the show for so long, I’m not going to remember who all is who. I’m more focused on actors now and not the characters that they played. Jim talks about the case to the current team.

All of the serial numbers on the money are close together. A kidnapper named Lucky seems to be the person behind this. It seems that the person who is dead now is a hit man. We then see a place set on fire.

Another group of CSIs see a different crime scene while the others are tied up at this one. We then get to the crime scene montage as they go through the case having found a murder weapon. They are pretty sure about this at least. Sara then talks to Jim who is now blind. And yet he did so well in the fight. Maybe that’s why the bird is there to be the eyes that he doesn’t have any more.

Sara talks to Maxine, the new leader in charge. People think that Sara will return to the job here since she returned to Las Vegas from San Diego. I guess that CSI: San Diego could be a future show. They find a head of a person they were looking for and a note that says: Jim Brass was just the beginning.

The second part has someone confirming that the victim in the head is who they think that it is for real. Hugo, an ME, talks to Sara about the case. Sara points out that Jim is just retired and not dead. There was an unhealthy brain in this dead person that was full of pomegranate. People are confused that Sara left for a man. David is brought up when Sara is discussed. Not every young mind is in trouble. The arson might have been used to cover up something else. A woman is shown kidnapped in the trunk of a car.

The third part has more going on with the cases at hand. I missed part of it. Some think that a man named Danny might have done bad things. They could only find people with a clean record and partial finger prints. Sara discussed why she left her job at CSI. After another music montage of whatnot (maybe the YouTube channel the cussing channel should do videos of these), we find more info on the case. We also go back to Jim who has normal eyes, but still can’t see despite his different eyes from earlier in the same episode, talking to Sara and they don’t have leads on the case, being back to square one.

The fourth part has them looking for a suspect at Freemont street trying to find the killer of the dead officer. There is a pawn shop case as too much seems to be going on in this episode. Maxine talks to Sara. They seem to have no reservations with her being brought in for this case although she isn’t officially back yet. They talk some about phenotypes and how they lead to a likely suspect. An arrow might have killed the person and that explains why no murder weapon was found since it burned up in the fire. The CSI talks to a woman named Becky and she appears to be the killer of the arson related case.

Sara talks to a person named Bill. She admits to calling people as she talks to Bill and wants to find a woman who is missing. She goes after the suspect and tells others about the person who needs caught. He gets in a car and gets away.

The fifth part has people finding the kidnapped woman and there is a note there that they decipher. They talk to Bill. He mentions that someone who wrote the note is someone that he liked. They find a storage place that David has that he never had mentioned. Sara thinks that David is being framed for a crime. They have to deal with the evidence at hand. If David is charged, that could put all of the criminals that he had helped put away back out on the streets. Jim and Sara talk to each other and it is finally revealed in the last scene that Gil is now there helping.

On the next CSI: Vegas, people wonder just how well they may know David. Surely they aren’t going to turn him into a villain after all this time he spent on the show. Would they really ruin his character just for a dramatic twist? We’ll see how long his story arc lasts on the show and what it would be. I have the feeling that a trial might be part of the storyline. And David is confirmed to return to the show as a regular cast member, even though he wasn’t in this episode. He’ll have to appear now.

I think that this is a good way to start the franchise again and I look forward to this series. I like how we got enough of the new characters while not being too focused on the old ones, although we should have seen more of Gil than just the last scene. It works for people who aren’t fans of the franchise while having a lot in there for the people who are fans of it. I’ll like seeing what happens and I’ll be back with these blog posts for the whole planned series. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
