Season 2 Episode 5

Since I don’t think that I have yet mentioned it in this blog, note that there will likely be an upcoming potential blog on Without a Trace and then other parts of the CSI franchise coming at some point in the future. I don’t yet know when or just how long in the future it will be when it happens. If I’m blogging about this show still, I will post a link to that here.

Continuing on to more of Schoolhouse Rock, we now have the Science Rock section to cover. This one that is next is The Body Machine. It starts this section and I’ll get to the rest of them.

The boss of the Shadow Temple is Bongo Bongo. I’m covering it next, although it seems as if fandom is convinced that it should be the last temple covered. It isn’t. That is why I’m covering this now and getting to the next part covered. It seems as if the player is a noob as they almost die. But this is intentional on fandom’s part in order to show what happens when you mess up.

I forget how I mentioned it, but the song Otherworld from the very beginning and near the end of Final Fantasy X was mentioned in the past blog post. I know that it was not covered in the episode itself.

As for what was in the episode, they did the song Field of Gold. I thought that I would now share the Celtic Woman version of that song. I will now be sharing a song of theirs from their concert Songs from the Heart until I reach the end of it.

In this old Madam Secretary blog post, I talk about some of the things that I wish the show covered, like the judiciary. They never covered that as instead of was more or less a different international crisis in most episodes. I talk a bit about one of the old showrunners regarding the NCIS franchise. I might have to go through the history of that at some point, but won’t in this week’s post. I now have a hatred of Son of Zorn due to its cancellation on major cliffhangers.

I also mention about not knowing stuff about football like why refs make the gestures they do. I also talk about my problem with not renting movies which is a lot of people’s problems given just how little video rental stores remain. There is still one that I can use. I also offer some minor thoughts on Venezuela in this post. I’ll talk about it more in the future.

Movie update: On Saturday, I watched The Sound of Music. I replaced that with a movie that I’m borrowing from a co-worker called Sponge out of Water which is a Spongebob Squarepants movie. On Sunday, different plans for lunch meant that I could not watch a movie that day. But it worked out better in regards to other plans of mine that I had. On Monday, I had to watch laptop shows instead of a movie. On Tuesday, I watched One Night with the King. I was still finishing that on Wednesday. I replaced it with Stuart Little. On Thursday, I was once again watching shows on my laptop instead of a movie.

The first part has professors and others like them being honored. But bad things start to happen with a possible biological attack happening. Meanwhile, Catherine goes to a fantasy room to lure someone there to talk to her. A woman is dead as we continue to look for the missing Grace. But what happened to the weird scene from the end of the first season? Are we ever going back to that? Is that going to be like Ray Langston? I’m still pissed by that lack of real resolution.

The team arrives at the scene with more going on the next day. There is a lot of vomit as they are in suits. A dead body was found with them wondering what all went on and why so many people are affected.

The second part has more of the scene investigated. The fish are alive which seems to imply that this is airborne. The team goes to the hospital and talk to a lot of the people here who can’t all remember what all went on. A professor named Morrow had left the party early. He becomes an obvious suspect. He is investigated by the team. He claims to have eaten everything at the party.

One of the MEs thinks that it could just be what amounts to a collective panic attack by the group instead of something real. But that might not be the case. One of the team members wants to talk to other survivors. Beau somehow knows a whole lot about certain types of party and is no longer invited to the garden party, I mean, Allie’s birthday party. What I believe are feds show up to take control of the crime scene. This is an obvious problem, of course.

The third part has the team trying to figure out what to do. Since the rats that weren’t taken by the feds died at the same time at the humans, they are used to figure out what all went on regarding the case.

There is more going on with the Grace and the stripper (I think) named Monica wants to give certain evidence including the dress she is currently wearing. Alie is able to figure out that some type of poisoning is going on. They go back to the crime scene. Are they allowed to do this? There is a lot of investigating going on at this place. One of these plugs is not like the other. Maybe it’s a pretender? They find what appears to be a weapon of some sort. I’m confused.

The fourth part has this weapon being brought into the lab. They mention what could be going on. Is this a real thing? I guess that it could be? I don’t know if I buy this exactly. They need to test how it works. Is this like Havana Syndrome? It is because of the electromagnets that are causing this to happen. They think that one person was the target. It looks like the obvious suspect from earlier could be guilty? But it might not be Professor Morrow as Maxine notices a guy on crutches. She thinks that this man is faking and is the killer.

The fifth part has more investigations into the lead. Meanwhile, Catherine’s lead into a man named Cosgrove doesn’t appear to go anywhere as he left for somewhere. Maybe he will be in the place of the next CSI spinoff? It seems that Luther, whoever that is, is brought in with the weapon and was faking being a patient so that he would seem like he one of them. He is the killer as he wanted his main victim stopped. Catherine winds up meeting Monica again at the strip club no less. There are leads in the case which will be talked about in future episodes, likely. The feds leave with the weapon, but not the part of it that makes it do anything.

On the next CSI: Vegas, there was a broken body, someone is sorry, and there was not a good surprise. Are there often good surprises in crime shows? It probably doesn’t happen much, if at all. If there are in this show or any like it, we’ll have to wait and see to find it. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
