Typically once every year, I boycott the place that airs the first Christmas commercial of the year until the year is over. This means I don’t do any Christmas shopping or any other business at this place with them at all until the end of the boycott. It was often Kmart that did this, including one in September! But I don’t rely on that as I’d have to go a long ways to visit one anyways. It was Best Buy one year. Last year, I got a bit confused about whether or not Prime Day counted. I decided that it didn’t and gave the boycott to some obscure place instead. Since they later did a Prime Day in June this year, I know that wasn’t a Christmas commercial. This year, it is Amazon for sure that could get a boycott.
This
leaves me to wonder: could I even boycott Amazon? Where is a better place to do
all of your Christmas shopping? Well, it’s not a place, but is likely to have
if not what you want for someone, then any of your backups instead. You can’t
get as much out of the other brick and mortar stores. Or can you? I may try not
to use Amazon this year for Christmas shopping. This way, I won’t have to rely
on the post office. I did my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving last year
and I still didn’t get one of my gifts for someone until after Christmas.
I
could go into the unfortunate politicization of the Post Office, but if you
want to know more of my political thoughts, they appear in three different
blogs of mine. While it has been a while since I’ve talked about it in my Madam
Secretary blog, I am still giving you the link to it so you can read the cast updates
that I have in it or whatever else I might include in it over time. Besides, I
might as well share all of the links to my other blogs so you’ll know about
them if you didn’t already.

The
first part has a creepy night scene since only CSI: Miami can often take place
during the day. To be far, this shift is a night shift. That could be the name
of a good show that I haven’t seen ever and probably never will. The newbies
investigate it in some way. Gil is uncertain upon returning to work. Maxine
meets some of the people who are working on David’s case. We then go back to
the dog. See, NCIS? This is how you do a dog case good. There might be some
issues with where certain evidence winds up relating to David’s case.
We
see a Sandra on the news, but I forget her relation to the case. Hugo examines
the body in the case as we see more of what’s going on. Cade is saying that
Sanda’s death is getting solved quickly while also saying that the crime lab is
second to none. I think that Cade was one of the people investigating David’s
case.
The
second part has people going to a gaming place. Maxine thinks that her son was
going to maybe do this, but isn’t doing well in school, even though it is an
unrelated pottery class. They think that sexism was probably the motive behind her
death. They talk to Death Von Body Count and he says that he grabbed Sandra’s
badge and tore it, but otherwise didn’t see her again after this altercation. She
seemed to have benefitted from a bug in the game until it was patched.
Sara
and Gil see a brick that could be a murder weapon. They talk to the woman who
owns the house and she blames pregnancy brain on some of her absentmindedness. Gil
thinks that criminals make lots of mistakes. At a fountain, Josh and Allie each
do different things in the case. I have the feeling that they are probably
going to have sex at some point or could at least be a couple, but I don’t
remember couples or even sex happening that much between the main characters on
the shows in the franchise. This could be the show that changes it.
Sara
talks to the two of them later with Josh thinking that David could be guilty to
be a star. There is footage found of a person who is later talking on stage. It
turns out that he’s doing a test run, although some people are there. His name
is Ben and he is arrested. There are no marks on his hands so they are
convinced that he was not working alone. They send him away!
The
third part has Maxine working instead of worrying about her son? Gil says that
neither the rock nor the smudge has helped them thus far. But there was makeup
of some sort that helps others. Maxine isn’t much convinced about the animal
cruelty case being a lead on David’s. Allie and Josh do more investigating at
the fountain area with him finding a squirrel. A man is watching them and he
runs with them giving case. A cop shows up. This Mr. Benson, once caught, says
that he saw the whole thing happen. He tried to help Sandra, but instead
witnessed the murder. He is upset that he didn’t stop the crime from happening.
Convinced
of Mr. Benson’s innocence for now, Josh and Allie continue on their case.
Maxine talks to Sara and Gil about their case. Josh thinks that the killer has
blue eyes and was intentionally caught on tape to look like Ben Miller so that
he would be framed instead. They think that a 3D printed face mask was
involved. Um, the writers of this show remember how hated CSI: Cyber was,
right? This is an element of that show that was too unlike the other shows
which is one of the many reasons why it wound up failing. They shouldn’t
include that or other elements towards the end of the main show where it
clearly wound up out of good ideas.
The
fourth part has Josh and Allie doing a recreation of the crime scene and they
figure out where they should be looking on Sandra’s dead body. Maxine and Josh
then watch more videos while they eat pizza and try to solve the case at hand. There
are ways to look at a person’s walk and they find a match in Ron.
8,000
criminals could get out of jail if David is convicted. Would we see any of the
old criminals from the series? I hope not since that would mean he’d be convicted.
But this could play more into the plot of this once planned anniversary series.
Maxine then looks through the trash for potential DNA in a case. It is the
second in command, Ron King, who seems to be the main suspect. Maxine talks to
him, but he knows better than to do what she asks. A digger bee was found and
it normally doesn’t sting, but did because of a ground nest being disturbed. Could
this be a good lead?
The
fifth part has people looking at a nest with the bees with a shovel. It was
burned. Ben is finally brought into interrogation. The mask could not be burned
so it was buried where the digger bees where. He had reactions to it. He was
upset that Kelly was getting a game before him. Maxine promises him press, but
you should never give most criminals free press as that’s what they want. Gil
is concerned that he has a brain issue that might be permanent. Maxine learns
that they are cut off from the David case at hand with the evidence moved.
On
the next CSI: Vegas, wait, was there not a promo? My news cut it off and I didn’t
have much of a chance to turn to the other CBS channel that I have to see if
they aired a promo after all. I might include a mention of future promos
elsewhere, but I won’t unless it is in my Survivor blog on today’s episode.
Speaking
of that, this blog is on Wednesday instead of my Survivor blog this time since
there is a family visit that is suddenly upon me that I wasn’t sure might be
happening until this very day. There is less to put in this blog so with it
ready, it was easier for me to make it today’s post instead of Survivor’s blog.
I
won’t know without this getting more episodes or seasons ordered and it
remaining on Wednesdays just how much it could affect the Survivor blog as this
could be the primary one during the winter hiatus of Survivor with that one
getting a break of sorts outside of posts on older season’s episodes. I’ll tell
that blog too, maybe even in the next post you’ll see of this. For now, this is
Adam Decker, signing off.
