Something that I had wondered in my CSI: Cyber blog was about the theme song they might use for this show. I was going through a bunch of songs that The Who did. I had figured that it would be another one of theirs that was used. I was not expecting them to reuse a theme song they had already done in a different way. I wished that they had used something different. I would have liked The Good’s Gone as a theme song. But maybe we’ll have to wait until potential other shows in the franchise start in order for us to see it or another fitting song.
In
that blog, I had gone through a whole lot of songs that The Who did even if
they might not have been used for a theme song or not. Some may not have fit. I
still have a list of songs that might work that I had not used in that blog
that I don’t have the links to yet, but might in the future. For now, here are
the last two ones that I was going to put in that blog that will be put in this
one instead.

Speaking
of blogs that I have, the one that I used on Elementary was important in many
different ways. I had two people in that cast update in my CSI: Cyber blog at
first. That’s why the font is still different for some of their projects. I’m
hoping that it might change in the future. But a lot of projects wind up in
development hell as they have a name, at least one person attached to it, and
presumably a writer.

There
is one last thing that I will talk about before I get to the show. I’m
wondering what they are doing with David’s character in this show. He might not
have that big a role in this show that I thought that he would. But he’s
certain to play a pivotal part. I just hope that they don’t ruin his character
by turning him into a villain or at least some person that might not be as good
as he once was. Sadly, I don’t even remember what he was like that much. But I
want him to be good.
The
first part begins with a woman begging and she is shot after other injuries.
This does not happen enough with male victims on TV. Of course, I believe that
in reality, women are more likely to be victims of crimes.
Sara
and Gil think about the secret lab that David has. She is convinced that he
would not fake evidence. But it seems like all of this was signed up. He is
sent to jail now as a result.
The
rest of the team, the newbies, if you will, show up to the crime scene from
earlier. The victim was to be married. It was bad luck for the groom to see the
bride before the wedding. My cousin intentionally did that so the photos would
be done first. I wonder what other one liners before the theme song we’ll have
to get used to. Will anyone be putting on sunglasses? Maybe they should throw
them. You know, throw shade.
The
second part has more being done at that crime scene. Gil then shows up at the
crime scene and tells the officer that the people are looking at a microtome.
That’s a word according to my laptop. They don’t always think certain things
are words. We then get to the people at the wedding being interrogated by the
police. Gil and Sara talk to Maxie about the case and fate of David. Sara
doesn’t trust Ivy, one of the people on the crime scene, to do her part well.
Gil
can’t do much since Sara has the badge and he is not one again yet. They go
through the crime scene which showed the couple about to have sex (since in the
process of it would not be allowed on network TV) and that’s when they were
killed. Josh, one of the investigators, talks to Maxie about the case. Sara
doesn’t think that David could have broken a thousand laws right in front of
them. Gil doesn’t think that the evidence points back to him. David is out for
a moment and appears to have family of some sort that we haven’t seen before.
The
third part has possible couple, Allie and Josh, infiltrate a swingers club.
They reveal that they are cops. They threaten to come back with news crews if
they do not get what they want out of the investigation. They look into more of
this and learn that the walls have eyes of some sort. I wasn’t looking at the
TV at that moment and am watching this live. I also had to deal with resetting
this laptop at one point.
Emma
is the wife of David. Jim treats his former teammate coldly since he wound up
shot over it. Gil is more convinced of evidence and less of witness testimony
because it can often fail. But how do they disprove these allegations?
The
fourth part has the potential of blackmail being brought up. Cleveland Brown?
Is that what they mean by black male? David was an expert witness for a while.
He does think that a theory could explain why this person knows him so well.
The other team is dealing with their case during this time. I have the feeling
this is what the show might be about. Gil doesn’t take sides and Sara thinks
that he is being too hard on their former teammate. He thinks that she’s okay
with him since she put the gloves where he likes them.
“People
lie. Evidence doesn’t.” That’s what is said when I think that the guy from the
swingers club is brought in as a suspect. But he can’t grip after suffering
from some neurological damage. This proves that he couldn’t be the killer since
he can’t grab a gun. David thinks that he’s all alone since Gil isn’t convinced
by the evidence.
He
notices that a guard dog went missing from the neighbor’s house. This happened
the week before this stuff was happening. I forget if Gil was like this on the
show when it was originally on before he left. Well, I should say that I don’t
know. I was too young for the original show when it first aired. I joined it
after Gil had left.
The
fifth part had Gil and Sara with a dead dog since they found it. They have to
also work with Hugo and Maxine with their dead couple. They think that the
woman from the swingers club is the killer due to the shoe size. I forget what
“if the shoe fits” means. I largely only know that phrase exists due to Toy
Story 2.
They
think that the deaths were due to her sending someone a message. She is guilty,
I’m pretty sure. We then get to the dog death that bit the attacker. The person
who killed the dog got into a garage seems to have stolen things to frame
David. Maxine wants to convince Gil to come back to CSI. She wants to
investigate the case, but may not be convinced as much as they are that David
is innocent or, at least, that these crimes are related.
On
the next CSI: Vegas, Gil has first day jitters, they have to not look like
there is a conflict of interest or something like that, and other things that I
missed. I can’t wait to see the next episode and wonder what the crime of the
week will be while they deal with the recurring part of the David case. I’m
pretty sure based off of this episode that that is what’s going to happen on
the show now for the rest of these episodes in the ten part series that I’ll
explain more about later in future posts. Hopefully there won’t be any issues
with me seeing the next episode as it is possible that there will be a family
visit that will interfere. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
